Airtel to Shut Down Wynk Music App

Wynk Music, a music streaming application developed by Bharti Airtel, is being discontinued. All personnel associated with the streaming service will be absorbed by the organization.

Airtel is prepared to terminate Wynk Music within the next few months, according to PTI, which initially reported the development. Airtel also verified the relocation to the news agency.

The Wynk shutdown report was released on the same day that Airtel announced a partnership with Apple to offer special offers to its iPhone users in exchange for access to Apple Music.

Airtel intended to monetize Wynk’s offerings by utilizing the creator economy in addition to subscription and advertising last year. It seems that the strategy was unsuccessful.

Wynk provides a variety of subscription programs, such as a free version with advertisements and a premium version. Its premium plans are frequently included in Airtel’s mobile and broadband packages.
