Jon O’Donnell has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Acuity Knowledge Partners (Acuity), a premier provider of bespoke research, analytics, personnel, and technology solutions to the financial services sector.
Jon has over 16 years of leadership experience at IBM, where he effectively managed EMEA Business and Technology Consulting Divisions with a turnover of $3 billion per year and a workforce of up to 15,000 practitioners. This experience was instrumental in achieving impressive market growth. Jon brings this experience to Acuity. As a member of the Global Leadership Team of IBM Consulting, he held critical leadership positions in a variety of markets, including North America and EMEA.
O’Donnell, in his capacity as Acuity’s Chief Operating Officer, will be a member of the Executive Committee and will be responsible for the Digital Solutions Group, Global Strategy, and a variety of enablement departments, such as Information Technology, Information Security, and Legal.

“Acuity’s profound domain expertise will assist financial institutions in streamlining intricate tasks, increasing productivity, and achieving cost savings,” he concluded.
O’Donnell has established and managed business divisions that are at the forefront of technological advancements, including cloud platforms and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, he is a fervent proponent of the development and advancement of all individuals. During his tenure as the leader of IBM Consulting in the United Kingdom and Ireland, he was honored with national Diversity and Inclusion awards. He holds qualifications from the Saïd Business School and the CIMA, in addition to having studied Mathematics and Operational Research at Southampton University.
