The fast-growing quick-commerce company Blinkit, owned by Zomato, now lets users return shoes and clothes in 10 minutes. According to Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa, this service has been tested in Delhi NCR for several weeks and is now available in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. More cities will be added soon.
This new functionality tackles online purchasing size and fit concerns. Customers who have similar concerns can now easily return or exchange, removing “size anxiety” when buying fashion. A recent X post from Dhindsa detailed the function.
Quick-commerce sites like Blinkit are growing their product offerings beyond food delivery and now include categories like clothes and lifestyle goods as they continue to develop. This action also addresses a significant barrier to online fashion shopping: the high percentage of returns brought on by sizing issues; industry estimates indicate that 25–30% of fashion orders placed online are returned.
Together with rivals like Swiggy Instamart and Zepto, who joined the fashion market this year, Blinkit sells merchandise from well-known labels including Liberty, Paragon, FabIndia, Jockey, Boldfit, Adidas, and XYXX.
