3one4 Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm that has provided backing for successful companies such as Open, Darwinbox, and Licious, has promoted Nruthya Madappa to the role of partner. In this position, Madappa will focus on driving the growth of portfolio companies, as well as identifying and supporting investee companies.

In this position, Madappa will focus on driving the growth of portfolio companies, as well as identifying and supporting investee companies.

In 2020, Madappa joined the Bengaluru-based VC firm as the principal and head of growth and capital development. She was then promoted to the position of director of the growth and capital vertical in February of last year, as per reported VCCircle.

According to a statement from the firm, Madappa has played a key role in steering 3one4 Capital’s portfolio companies by securing funding, driving revenue growth, and facilitating successful exits. Her expertise in technology, finance, and economic policy has also been instrumental in identifying and supporting companies such as Open, BetterPlace, and Kapiva.

“Nruthya’s extensive experience in creating and scaling businesses makes her an ideal partner for founders seeking to build market-leading companies from India,” said Anurag Ramdasan, partner at 3one4 Capital.

Madappa has an impressive educational background, holding both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School. Before joining 3one4 Capital, she served as the director of CoWrks for three years but left the company in 2020.

3one4 Capital raised Rs 1,000 crore for its third flagship fund from both domestic and international institutional investors. The firm is currently in the process of raising capital for its fourth fund, and there are reports that it is looking to raise as much as $200 million for this upcoming vehicle.
