[Funding News] Zouk to Raises $10 Mn Funding from Aavishkaar Capital

Zouk, a fashion brand dedicated to direct-to-consumer (D2C), is currently in the final stages of negotiations to raise a new round of funding.

After more than 18 months, the Mumbai-based startup, which purports to manufacture cruelty-free products, is announcing the launch of its latest funding round.

AgroStar, Altum Credo, Ergos, GoDesi, Milk Mantra, and Newtrace are among the numerous ventures in which Aavishkaar Capital has invested.

Zouk specializes in the sale of laptops, tote handbags, sling purses, and chain wallets. The company’s products are 100% vegan leather that is sourced and manufactured in India, and they are handcrafted by its in-house artisans.

Stellaris Venture led the $3 million fundraising effort for Zouk in March 2023. The round was also attended by angel investors, including Atomberg founder Manoj Meena and Sugar Cosmetics founders Vineeta Singh and Kaushik Mukherjee. It has raised over $4.5 million to date, with Stellaris leading a $1.5 million pre-Series A round and Titan Capital leading an undisclosed seed funding in July and January 2021, respectively.

Zouk is anticipated to be valued at approximately $50 million (Rs 400 crore). Zouk was valued at approximately $7 million during its most recent financing round, according to TheKredible, a startup data intelligence platform.

The inquiries that were submitted to Zouk and Aavishkaar did not generate any response.
