Zepto, has announced that Nikhil Mittal has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Together with Chief Product Officer Ankit Agarwal, he will be responsible to co-founder Kaivalya Vohra.
As the company's first hire over two years back, Mittal will now oversee the more than 200-person engineering staff and be in charge of growing it.

Ankit Agarwal, senior vice president of product at Zepto, was promoted to chief product officer three months earlier.
In a recent investment round, the Mumbai-based business secured $31.25 million from returning investors, including Goodwater Capital and Nexus Venture Partners.

With ten locations, a network of highly optimized delivery centers, and robust technological capabilities, the company is transforming the $600 billion Indian grocery market into one that is easier to shop for and more convenient.
