Zen Mobility launches freight 3-wheeler LEV Zen Micro Pod

Zen Mobility recently unveiled the Zen Micro Pod, a specialized cargo 3-wheeler LEV (light electric vehicle). This introduction is aligned with the company's vision of developing groundbreaking designs and engineering advancements in the field of electric vehicles.

According to a recent media release, the Zen Micro Pod will be offered in two versions: the R5x and the R10x. Boasting a remarkable maximum payload of 150 kg, this vehicle surpasses the load-carrying capacity of conventional 3-wheelers by 2.5 times. The company stated that the Zen Micro Pod operates at an incredibly low running cost, utilizing only 4 units of electricity and requiring approximately 1.5 to 2 hours for charging, as per reported by The Economic Times.

Namit Jain, Founder and CEO of Zen Mobility, said, "We are excited to announce the launch of our latest product, the Zen Micro Pod, a purpose-built three-wheeler light electric vehicle in India. This innovative and compact design is set to revolutionize the last-mile delivery space with its efficient performance. We have also collaborated with renowned leasing and rental companies, as well as fleet and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, to ensure seamless deployment of the Zen Micro Pod, which can be leased or rented monthly, with fees of up to INR 9,999 determined by factors such as lease type, tenure, and other considerations."

Zen Mobility has previously been granted the ARAI Certificate of Conformity for their Zen Micro Pod, which serves as strong proof of their extensive testing and evaluation accomplishments. This encompasses thorough evaluations of performance, verification of compliance, and rigorous on-road testing.
