Fintech startup CredAvenue raises $137 million, turns unicorn

Chennai-based debt marketplace CredAvenue has raised $137 million in a Series B round of funding led by New York-based Insight Partners, B Capital Group and Dragoneer.

Existing investors, catapulted the company’s valuation to $1.3 billion. Nikhil Sachdev, managing director at Insight Partners, will join CredAvenue’s board as part of the deal.

The fintech startup said that funds will use to expand in India and into key global markets as well as make acquisitions.

Captain Fresh raises $50 Mn in Series C, valuation doubles to $500 mn

B2B seafood and meat marketplace Captain Fresh has raised $50 mn in its Series C investment round co-led by existing investors Prosus Ventures and Tiger Global.

Founded in 2019 by Utham Gowda, Captain Fresh is an online business-to-business platform for wholesale trade of seafood with integrated shipping, payment protection and quality assurance services.

Digital Freight Brokerage platform Lobb raises $1.1 mn in funding

Digital Freight Brokerage company Lobb has raised $1.1 million in a Funding round from Bjyu Pillai, group managing director, Inflow Technology and investor Gopal Kaul.

Bengaluru based startup founded in 2015 by Venu Kondur, the company said that the funds will use in scale the business and expend Lobb’s network across newer geographies in India.

Personal healthcare startup CureSkin raises $5mn in funding

An Artificial intelligence-driven beauty and personal care brand CureSkin has raised $5 million in a Series A round from JSW Ventures.

Founded in 2017 by two ex-Google employees Guna Kakulapati, Rama Rajanna & dermatologist Charu Sharma, AI-driven healthcare startup will use this funding to grow its overall customer base, expand into adjacent categories, and make further investments in technology.

Agritech startup Otipy raises $32mn in Series B funding

Agritech startup Otipy has raised $32 million (Rs 235 crore) in a Series B round from Westbridge Capital.

Gurugram-based Otipy was founded in 2020 by Varun Khurana and Prashant Jain, the company will be use funds to expand the company into new territories, strengthen its supply chain, invest in cutting-edge technology, add product categories and accelerate its mission to make fresh nutritious food accessible to all.

Healthtech startup DeepTek raises $10 mn in funding

Healthcare startup DeepTak has raised $10 million in a Funding round from Tata Capital Healthcare Fund II (TCHF II), and other investors.

Pune based DeepTak was founded by Dr. Amit Kharat and Ajit Patil in 2017. The Company said that DeepTek’s mission is to make quality radiology services more affordable and accessible by leveraging the power of AI.

Esports gaming platform Gamerji raises $1.1 million in Pre-Series A round

Ahmedabad based Esports gaming platform Gamerji has raised $1.1 million in a Pre-Series A round from Unicorn India Ventures.

Gamerji is a eSports tournament platform founded in 2019 by gaming expert and serial entrepreneur Soham Thacker.

The startup will use the fresh funds to enhance tournament organisation technology, build social features for the gamers, and expand to MENA regions and south-east Asia.

Digital pension app PensionBox raises $160k funding

PensionBox, a digital pension app has raised $160,000 from Kishore Ganji, Keynote India, Aprameya Radhakrishna, SAT Industry, and others.this funding round was backed by 100X.VC and from Marquee Angels.

PensionBox plans to use this funds to hire a strong team and build its product faster in the coming months to lead the way in the pension sector in India.

Edtech Startup Eruditus raises $350 mn funding from CPPIB for M&As

CityMall raises $75 million in Series C round

Social commerce venture CityMall has raised $75 million from Norwest Venture Partners.This is CityMall’s third funding round in a year.

CityMall was founded in 2019 by Angad Kikla and Naisheel Verdhan, the company has been valued at about $320 million in the Series C round.

100X.VC backed company Wizzy, an advanced site search solution for ecommerce stores and marketplaces, raised nearly $300,000 from Manipal Technology & Media Group, Concept India, Quattro Ventures, and Sat Industries.

The startup plans to use the fund to evolve the product, amplify its reach to store and marketplace owners around the world, and make product discovery and shopping more seamless.

Online financial services provider, Money View has raised $75 million in a fresh funding round led by Tiger Global, Winter Capital, Evolvence India, and Accel.

Benguluru based fintechstartup Money View was founded in 2014 by two IIT friends, Sanjay Aggarwal and Puneet Agarwal.
