Fintech startup CredAvenue raises $137 million, turns unicorn

Chennai-based debt marketplace CredAvenue has raised $137 million in a Series B round of funding led by New York-based Insight Partners, B Capital Group and Dragoneer.

Existing investors, catapulted the company’s valuation to $1.3 billion. Nikhil Sachdev, managing director at Insight Partners, will join CredAvenue’s board as part of the deal.

The fintech startup said that funds will use to expand in India and into key global markets as well as make acquisitions.

Captain Fresh raises $50 Mn in Series C, valuation doubles to $500 mn

B2B seafood and meat marketplace Captain Fresh has raised $50 mn in its Series C investment round co-led by existing investors Prosus Ventures and Tiger Global.

Founded in 2019 by Utham Gowda, Captain Fresh is an online business-to-business platform for wholesale trade of seafood with integrated shipping, payment protection and quality assurance services.

Digital Freight Brokerage platform Lobb raises $1.1 mn in funding

Digital Freight Brokerage company Lobb has raised $1.1 million in a Funding round from Bjyu Pillai, group managing director, Inflow Technology and investor Gopal Kaul.

Bengaluru based startup founded in 2015 by Venu Kondur, the company said that the funds will use in scale the business and expend Lobb’s network across newer geographies in India.
