Tillotama Shome is an Indian actress who predominantly works in English and Hindi films.

Tillotama was born on June 25, 1978 in Kolkata, West Bengal.  

She did her Bachelors & Masters in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi 

She moved to New York in the  2004 for a master's program in educational theatre at New York University, 

In 2001, she made her debut movie “Monsoon Wedding” which was directed by Mira Nair. 

In 2009, she appeared in an English-Australian movie “The Waiting City” which was directed by Claire McCarthy.   

Tillotama Shome was honored with the title “Best Actress” for the movie “Qissa” in the new Horizons Competition of the 7th Abu Dhabi Film Festival. 

 She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 63rd Filmfare Awards for her role in A Death in the Gunj

In 2021, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics) for portraying a praiseworthy role Ratna in Sir at the 66th Filmfare Awards.
