Kiran Manral is an Indian author.

She was born in Mumbai on 22 June 1971, 

She graduated in English from Mithibai College in 1991.

She joined the news service at Mumbai's DSJ TV and went on to work as a feature writer for The Times of India and Cosmopolitan India.    

In 2000, she became a freelance journalist  

She published her first novel The Reluctant Detective in 2011. 

Manral is the founder of India Helps 

India Helps is a network of volunteers who assist disaster victims. 

Her novella, Saving Maya, was long listed for the Saboteur Awards UK, supported by the Arts Council England. 

She is a TEDx speaker and was a mentor with Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk. 

She was awarded the Women Achievers Award by Young Environmentalists Association in 2013,  

In 2022, she was named amongst the 75 Iconic Indian women in STEAM by Red Dot Foundation and Beyond Black.
