[Funding alert] Wealthtech Startup BHIVE.fund raises funding from Blume Ventures, others

Wealthtech platform BHIVE.fund has raised undisclosed amount in a strategic funding round from Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, Gruhas Proptech co-founder, Abhijeet Pai and Blume Ventures.

The round also saw participation from Durgesh Kaushik (senior director at Coinbase), Alok Bajpai (CFO at Adani Connex), and Madhusudan Ekambaram (CEO and co-founder of KreditBee), among others.

The startup plans to use the funds for business growth, build out comprehensive technology to enable clients to evaluate and invest in asset classes, expand global and grow BHIVE’s market share.

The Bengaluru-based BHIVE.fund was founded in 2021 by Shesh Rao Paplikar, Sandeep Gupta, and Monnappa Bayavanda, It provides retail investors with the opportunity to invest in the high-return asset class of commercial real estate.

BHIVE GROUP operates BHIVE.fund offers 24×7 access, round-the-clock security, Wi-Fi, UPS and generator backup, an open office environment, a fully equipped workspace among other amenities.

“Nikhil and Abhijeet are big believers that huge disruptions are possible in the commercial real estate space using technology. While not all investors may understand this space well, Abhijeet comes with a wealth of experience and expertise in the commercial real estate sector, having been involved in many large deals. Nikhil, as we all know, is one of the biggest names in the wealth tech space,” said, Shesh Rao Paplikar, co-founder of BHIVE.fund.

According to the company, the platform is structuring teams to bring more education about investment options and help clients create more wealth. In 2017, BHIVE Workspace had raised $1.2 million in a funding round from existing investor Blume Ventures.
