As part of its intention to foster next-generation leadership inside the company, Warburg Pincus announced that Vishal Mahadevia, its longtime head of India, will take on the newly established role of head of Asia private equity.
As the company emphasizes overseas business support and industrial activities, Warburg has chosen Narendra Ostawal, who joined the company in 2007, as its head of India. Anish Saraf and Viraj Sawhney will also assume larger responsibilities, as reported by livemint.

Warburg Pincus is the third private equity company to elevate its India head to a senior position in Asia with Mahadevia. Amit Dixit was elevated by Blackstone in 2021 to head of private equity for Asia. Early this year, KKR promoted Gaurav Trehan, its head of private equity in India, to head of private equity in Asia.
