The first-ever professional Kho-Kho league in India, Ultimate Kho-Kho (UKK), has received Series A funding from BNP Group, a UK-based private investment firm. It is now the first Indian sports league to receive funding from private equity.

Amit Burman’s Kho Kho Sports League (KKSL) and the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) are working together to develop the Ultimate Kho Kho League.

“Keeping in mind the global ascendancy of indigenous sports, this partnership with BNP Group is a massive milestone for Ultimate Kho Kho and our plans to grow the league as a bigger commercial entity,” Burman said.

It has been launched with an objective to market and package India’s indigenous sport of Kho Kho into a professional structure. The initiative aims to bring India’s very own home-grown sport to the forefront and make it the most sought-after sports league in India.
