Traveltech startup Headout has raised $30 million funding led by existing investor Glade Brook Capital, bringing its total Series B financing to $42 million.

Existing investors, including Nexus Venture Partners, FJ Labs, and 500 Startups participated in this funding round. Other investors also participated in this funding round including Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety, Postman CTO Ankit Sobti and Pratilipi CEO Ranjeet Pratap Singh among others.

Traveltech startup Headout was founded by Suren Sultania, Varun Khona, and Vikram Jit Singh in 2014. Headout is an on-demand mobile marketplace that helps travellers & locals get access to the most incredible tours, activities & local experiences in town at incredible prices.

“With all of the previous raise still in our bank and our consistently profitable economics, we have all the firepower we need to focus on aggressive expansion worldwide and longer-term investments to aid broader recovery of all things in real-life experiences,” said Varun Khona, Co-founder and CEO, Headout, adding that COVID-19 has only made people more restless to travel the world.

Traveltech startup Headout will use the funds raised to accelerate its expansion to 500 cities in the next 24 months, launch new verticals for domestic short-haul travel and build new technology products to make real-life experiences immersive and affordable.

Over the past few years, Headout have helped over 1 Million people pick the best seats for the beat Broadway shows in New York, skip humongous ticket queues across Europe, conquer the Arabian Desert on camel safaris, discover the greatest works of art and architecture.
