Apple Event 2025: iPhone 17 series price in India and all details

Apple has officially launched the iPhone 17 series, revealing its key specifications, pricing, and sleek design. The highlight of the event was the iPhone 17 Air.

Along with the new iPhones, Apple also introduced upgraded wearables and audio devices. CEO Tim Cook and his team showcased improvements in performance, design, and AI across iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods.

iPhone 17 Series: Thin, Powerful and AI-Enhanced

Apple introduced four new iPhone models:

• iPhone 17: Features a 6.3-inch 120Hz ProMotion AMOLED display, Ceramic Shield 2 protection and a 48MP Fusion Main camera.
• iPhone 17 Air: Apple introduced the iPhone Air, its thinnest iPhone yet at just 5.6mm, offering “pro performance in a thin and light design,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

This model is part of Apple’s three-year plan to refresh the iPhone lineup with new designs and form factors instead of small, incremental upgrades.

The iPhone Air comes with a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Apple calls it its most durable design, featuring a ceramic shield and titanium frame. Despite its slim 5.6mm body, it offers all-day battery life with up to 40 hours of video playback, using only eSIMs to save space.

• iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max:

Apple also revealed the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, highlighting major performance, camera, and AI upgrades. Both run on the new A19 Bionic chip for faster speeds and better energy efficiency. 

The Pro Max offers a larger 6.9-inch ProMotion display, while the standard Pro comes with a 6.7-inch screen, both supporting 120Hz refresh rates and peak brightness up to 3,200 nits.

Camera improvements include a new 200MP main sensor, upgraded telephoto zoom, and advanced computational photography powered by AI. 

Apple also emphasized durability with a titanium frame and ceramic shield, plus improved battery life and faster charging. Both models continue to support Face ID, eSIM only connectivity and deep integration with Apple’s ecosystem of apps and services.

Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 & SE 3: Health and Connectivity Upgrades

Apple has also introduced the Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3 at the 2025 event. Series 11 brings advanced health and fitness tracking, including new sensors for blood pressure, sleep and heart monitoring, combined with a brighter and more power-efficient display.

The Ultra 3 model targets adventure enthusiasts, offering enhanced durability, longer battery life, and specialised features for hiking, diving, and extreme sports. 

Meanwhile, the SE 3 serves as a budget-friendly option, delivering core Apple Watch functionalities like fitness tracking, notifications and seamless iPhone integration, makes it accessible to a wider audience.

Together, these models reflect Apple’s strategy of catering to different user needs—from high-performance adventure tracking to everyday health monitoring—while maintaining consistent design and connectivity across the ecosystem.

All models are powered by the new S11 chip and are available for pre-order, shipping from September 19.

AirPods Pro 3: Enhanced Audio Experience

The third generation of AirPods Pro offers improved sound quality, longer battery life, advanced noise cancellation and a live translation feature. Priced at $249, they will be available starting September 19.

iOS 26: Liquid Glass UI and AI Integration

iOS 26 introduces the "Liquid Glass" UI, offering a dynamic, translucent design across all Apple platforms. Key features include:

• Systemwide AI capabilities with Apple Intelligence
• Enhanced personalization and smarter apps
• Upgraded CarPlay with new widgets and Live Activities
• Smarter communication tools in Phone and Messages

Compatible with iPhone 15 and newer models.

Availability in India

All announced products will be available in India, with pre-orders starting on September 12 and general availability from September 19. Apple has also introduced new MagSafe compatible iPhone 17 cases, priced from ₹4,500.
