A $2 million seed round led by Turbostart has been secured by fixed fixed-income investment platform Tap Invest (previously Leaf Round). Along with angel investors like Kunal Shah and Kashyap Shah, Snow Leopard Ventures also invested in the round.
Upsparks and Superb Capital, the startup’s previous investors, also remained to back the company in this round.

Nishchay Nath, founder and CEO of Tap Invest, said, “The fixed income investment category in India today accounts for approximately 70% of all investment assets. This is an indicator that there is a tremendous opportunity and potential for growth in this category.”

Through asset renting and discounting of invoices, the startup provides users with an online marketplace where they can invest in a variety of debt opportunities for investment. According to the platform, more than 12,500 investors have been added.
