Swiggy Instamart Strengthens Leadership Team With Significant Appointments

Today, Swiggy, a locally developed platform that provides on-demand convenience, announced the recruitment of new members to its team.

The hires at Swiggy emphasize the increasing significance of rapid commerce and Swiggy Instamart, showcasing the company's dedication to transforming the convenience and effectiveness of on-demand services in India.

Himavant Srikrishna Kurnala has assumed the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Product at Swiggy Instamart. He is transferring from Reliance Retail, where he held the position of Chief Product Officer for JioMart. In this role, he was responsible for managing Product, Programme, Design, Analytics, and Marketplace trust operations.

Himavant has accumulated over two decades of experience working with renowned organizations like Amazon, Microsoft, and Reliance. His expertise lies in effectively expanding product portfolios and successfully managing teams that consistently deliver exceptional performance. The appointment highlights Swiggy Instamart's dedication to strengthening its product strategy and improving customer experience in the fast-changing e-commerce industry.

Mayank Rajvaidya has been appointed as the Vice President (VP) of the Fruits & Vegetables division, which is a crucial area for Swiggy Instamart. Mayank, who has almost two decades of expertise in category management and operations, formerly held a leadership position at Amazon where he oversaw the Consumables Private Brands division in India. He played a crucial role in initiating and expanding Amazon Pantry's presence to more than 300 cities. His proficiency would enhance Swiggy Instamart's path in the fresh produce sector.

Manu Sasidharan has been appointed as the Associate Vice President (AVP) of the FMCG Category at Swiggy Instamart. He brings with him more than 12 years of experience, primarily in the e-commerce industry. Manu formerly held positions at Flipkart and Cleartrip, where he was in charge of company growth, establishing new enterprises, managing profit and loss, and overseeing client demand.

Additionally, Kumar Rahul, the recently appointed Assistant Vice President of Business Development, has joined Lynk by Swiggy. With a career spanning more than 14 years, he possesses extensive expertise in digital transformation, marketing, and e-commerce. He has collaborated with renowned organisations such as Google, Disney+Hotstar, and Flipkart.
