Sairam Krishnamurthy has been named as the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Swiggy Instamart, a quick commerce platform based in Bengaluru.
Krishnamurthy will be responsible for supervising Instamart’s many operating units, such as dark shop operations, infrastructure operations, city growth, and expansion.
Krishnamurthy possesses over 18 years of expertise in executive positions across various industries including FMCG, consumer tech, and retail. Prior to his current role, he held the post of Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the supermarket division at More Retail.

Additionally, he also served as the Chief Merchandising Officer in the same company. He has held important positions at Ola Mobility, serving as the head of India supplies, and has also worked at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) for 14 years in different capacities related to sales, marketing, and innovation.
Swiggy Instamart presently functions in 33 urban areas and provides groceries and other necessary items in more than 20 different categories within a time frame of 10 minutes. It is in competition with Zepto and Blinkit.
