Even though the pandemic has brought us to an economic downturn, it has presented immense opportunities. The smart startups have definitely turned the challenges into opportunities in India. There are various sectors leading the relay are Healthcare, Fitness, Edtech, FoodTech, Ecommerce, SaaS, Remote Working, OTT and Gaming. Swadeshi Farms also a startup started in pandemic time and turned the challenges into opportunities in Healthcare products.
Preet Jain born and brought up in a Jain Marwari joint family of 20 people. Where his father and uncle has their own business and mother is a teacher. He was an average student in her whole journey. He was more into creativity like sketching, theatre and done his graduation from LBS PG College and PGDM from IIEBM Indus Business School.
Swadeshi Farms –
When Preet was in second year of PGDM, due to Covid19 he have to come back home and lockdown happen. Lockdown give him a time to think about business ideas and Covid19 make him understand importance of strong immunity. This is how the idea stuck- How we can make our immunity strong? Simple answer by consuming more pure and herbal products in daily routine. So he got the basic to have something which everyone can use in their daily life. This Idea is something which was already in his nerves or was already inherited as his Grandfather was a Ayurvedic Doctor by himself used to make medicine. Then he started working on plans about the products which can easily be made and can have an impact on health directly or indirectly. Started with the products which he consumed in his house made by Ayurveda ideology by his grandmother and eatables which are made by his mother. After that he make a group of 4-5 women to train them by help of his mother and grandmother. This is the way brand – Swadeshi Farms started.
Funding – on starting Preet Jain borrowed from his mother but later he made a plan in such a way that he raise fund from his customers only.
“From my school day’s I have got several ideas but never work upon them, because I always thought it’s not the right time, lack of fund and lack of knowledge. But this time I just thought and after that took the step. I don’t waste my time in over thinking and took the very first step and I think this is the most important thing which has helped me”.
Team –
Swadeshi Farms has a team of 4-5 people and 50+ interns from different colleges. Preet Jain train them for sales and marketing. Swadeshi Farms already reached Pan India Location and getting immense love from East and South India for products.
“If you want something in your life, you have to take hard decisions and have to work hard. When I started I don’t know where I will go and even I don’t have nothing, but the only thing which I was is Believe in myself! And this is something which has always push me to do best”.
Swadeshi Farms Provide handcrafted products made with love and purity by rural Women of Rajasthan— with the vision to empower women and providing a healthy lifestyle to every class of people.
Swadeshi Farms has recognized Startup form Government of Rajasthan and recently awarded as Most Promising Startup by Indian Achievers Forum in Indian Achievers 2021. Now startup is planning to expand and looking for investors.
