The extension was spearheaded by Eduardo Saverin, a co-founder of Facebook, and his venture capital firm, B Capital. Past participants in the series A round of funding include Endiya Partners, Tanglin Venture Partners, and MassMutual Ventures.

It, is a subscription-based diabetes reversal programme that combines technology with individualised human treatments, was founded in 2021. Diabetes specialists and dietitians can track their patients’ conditions in real time using the platform by using equipment like activity trackers and continuous glucose monitors. More than 30,000 people make use of its offerings.

A membership gives customers access to a patented mobile app that tracks their blood sugar levels, a glucose monitoring gadget, and a predetermined amount of doctor consultations. 90% of participants in Sugar.fit’s programme have lower blood sugar levels and less need for medication, the company claims.

According to Sugar.fit, the additional funding will be put to better use in research and development as well as brand exposure.
