Medworld Solutions Pvt Ltd
From ₹3,000/Month To ₹15 lakh/Month
What started as a humble journey with just ₹3,000 in monthly income has today transformed into a thriving health tech startup generating ₹15 lakh in revenue every month. This is the story of Medworld Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a Pune-based startup founded by four determined siblings — Vikram Chunarkar, Ajit Chunarkar, Madhuri Chunarkar, and Hema Chunarkar.
These siblings, originally from Chandrapur, Maharashtra, didn't come from a tech background or have any fancy startup funding. They simply had a shared vision and a deep desire to solve a real problem they had experienced firsthand.
A Problem India Was Facing
While working in a hospital's insurance department, Vikram and Ajit noticed a recurring issue: patients couldn't receive treatment until their insurance paperwork was completed, no matter how critical their condition was. Every insurance company had its own set of rules, and the manual paperwork took hours. This often led to delayed treatments, patient distress, and even tragic incidents.
It wasn't just a hospital issue — it was a national problem. And that's when the idea for Medworld Solutions was born.

A Dream Born from Struggle
The Chunarkar family faced severe financial challenges. Their father, who worked in Mumbai, lost his job and had to return home. To support their education, Vikram worked as a computer trainer earning ₹3,000/month, while Ajit worked as a machine operator at MIDC, earning even less. Eventually, Vikram had to drop out of his engineering studies to work full-time at a hospital's insurance department, where he earned ₹4,000/month.
Over time, Vikram gained deep knowledge of the insurance process. In 2014, he took a leap of faith and left his job to start offering insurance-related services on his own. One by one, his siblings joined him, quitting their jobs and managing four hospitals together — the humble beginnings of Medworld Solutions.
Growth on Grit, Not Funding
The early days were tough. Vikram would travel from hospital to hospital on a bicycle, not in a car. Everything was handled manually. But their hard work started paying off. By 2018, they were working with 40–50 hospitals and earning ₹4–5 lakh per month — still without any external funding.
As their team grew to 40 employees, they realized manual processes weren't scalable. That's when they made the big shift: from manual operations to building a SaaS-based health tech platform.

Smart Tech for a Broken System
Their AI-powered platform changed the game. It helped hospitals automate insurance documentation, identify missing information, and reduce insurance rejection rates by up to 40%. Most importantly, it enabled faster patient discharge — a big win for both hospitals and patients.
Today, Medworld Solutions works with 1,000+ hospitals across India. They charge hospitals ₹100 per insurance case, and now process claims worth ₹30–40 lakh every single day.
The Road Ahead
The co-founders have reinvested ₹35–40 lakh back into the business to scale it further. From word-of-mouth referrals to becoming a trusted name in the healthcare space, their growth has been phenomenal. In their first year, they served 5 hospitals. The second year, 50. By the third year — over 500. Today, they’re aiming for 5,000 hospitals across the country and targeting ₹30 crore in revenue.
They also plan to integrate their platform with government healthcare schemes to ensure smoother and faster medical services for all.
