Eggoz Nutrition

An entrepreneur's journey is about facing challenges with patience, hard work, and unwavering dedication. While others focus on problems, a true leader seeks solutions and keeps going, no matter the risks or doubts.

It all starts with a leap of faith — trusting that when you pursue something with a pure heart and good intentions, the result will always be worth it. That's how empires are built.

The same three IITian leaders—Abhishek Negi, Aditya Singh, and Uttam Kumar—left their high-flying corporate careers behind after realizing the egg industry was unorganized. Identifying a major gap, they founded Eggoz, an Agritech company focused on providing the right nutrition.

Today, their vision has been turned into a multi-crore business, generating ₹100 Cr. revenue in FY23, revolutionizing the industry with better, more nutritious eggs.

Beginning of Eggoz Nutrition: IITians To Founders

The story of three IITians, from their corporate career to ₹100 Cr. revenue, began in 2017.

At 32, Abhishek Negi, an electrical engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur, had already built a travel startup, Roder. This gave him valuable business experience, but he wanted to create something with a deeper impact.

Teaming up with other IITians, Aditya and Uttam, he set out to tackle India's widespread protein and nutrition deficiency. This commitment led them from IITians to founders.

Startup Wake-up Call: Why Egg Business?

Driven by the desire to create something meaningful, the founders of Eggoz Nutrition—Abhishek, Aditya, and Uttam—discovered that people were consuming loose eggs without any consideration of their quality.

These eggs, often 10 to 15 days old, came from hens fed chemical-laden feed, leading to eggs that had a rancid smell, watery yolks, and were often delivered through unhygienic methods. This experience disappointed them.

This frustrating experience opened their eyes to the issues of inconsistent standards, unsafe practices, and chemical-infused feed. This unorganized and fragmented egg industry, full of problems, hit the IITians hard.

The best part of their story is that instead of overlooking the issues, they decided to address the problem by building a sustainable business. To fill this gap, they quit their prosperous corporate careers and jumped into the egg business.

Concept To Creation: Eggoz Nutrition

Now, the concept was ready for egg business, but to turn the idea into reality was not a cup of tea. Working around the clock, brainstorming day and night, initial challenges, and a little fair about the decisions.

The main challenge in front of them was that they had neither experience nor expertise in egg industry. Despite this major challenge, they didn’t stop. Taking a leap of faith, they stepped forward, ready for a fresh start in building Eggoz.

From Zero To Poultry Empire

Abhishek and Aditya had no prior experience in poultry farming when they decided to start their own business. Instead of letting that hold them back, they embraced the challenge head-on.

Determined to learn from the ground up, they invested their initial savings into a 12,000-chicken farm in Bihar in 2017. Uttam's family lived in a remote village there; they left their corporate jobs and returned to their roots to build something of their own.

With a vision to tackle malnutrition through the unorganized egg sector, they aimed to create an Amul for eggs. With no poultry background, they learned from Scratch and built a poultry empire, Eggoz Nutrition, worth  $36.3M.

Eggoz Nutrition: Offering The Right Nutrition

In 2017, a vision came to life when Abhishek Negi, Aditya Singh, and Uttam Kumar launched Eggoz Nutrition based in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Eggoz Nutrition offers fresh, nutritious, and flavorful eggs packed with essential nutrients, perfect for a healthy diet. The startup leverages IoT technology to ensure quality by performing 11 safety checks, such as pH testing, quality grading, cleaning, and UV sanitization.

Eggoz Nutrition uses a tech-enabled model to connect with local farmers, providing exceptional support to help them produce better and more nutritious eggs. The agritech startup supports farmers with comprehensive services, including medical care, resources, and market connections.

The expansion also focused on empowering South Indian farmers and helping them improve their livelihoods. Now, Eggoz Nutrition products will be easily accessible at top contemporary and general trade stores, as well as across popular online platforms, making it more convenient than ever to support local farmers and enjoy quality nutrition.
