Martin Dinesh Gomez, the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) at Zepto, has decided to step down after less than a year with the quick-commerce startup.
Having joined the company after over 11 years at Amazon, Gomez is now serving his notice period and will be leaving Zepto in the coming weeks.
During this transition, CEO Aadit Palicha is overseeing HR operations and managing recruitment and related tasks. Gomez's exit adds to a growing list of senior departures from Zepto. In June, Manik Oberoi, former Vice President of Growth and Retention, also left the company.
That followed the exit of Viral Jhaveri, the former Chief Business Officer and Chief Growth Officer, who had been with Zepto for over two years. Additionally, Ashish Shah, the former Senior Vice President of Finance, also departed earlier this year.
These high-level departures come amid concerns about the work environment at Zepto which has been the subject of anonymous social media posts criticizing the companys culture and work-life balance. However, CEO Aadit Palicha has dismissed these claims emphasizing his commitment to work-life balance.
Zepto has not yet responded to media inquiries regarding Gomez's departure or the company’s plans moving forward.
