The Ministry of Labour & Employment and Zepto signed an MoU to boost job opportunities and youth employability on the National Career Service (NCS) Portal. The MoU took place in New Delhi with Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya present.

Dr. Mandaviya said, “The National Career Service (NCS) platform has emerged as a unique bridge between employers and job seekers. With over 52 lakh registered employers and nearly 7.5 crore vacancies mobilized since inception, NCS has positioned itself as a one-stop solution for all employment related services.”

“Strengthening of NCS portal through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other world-class digital tools in near future will further enable job-seekers to identify opportunities tailored to their location requirements and respective qualifications,” the Union Minister added.

Kaivalya Vohra, Co-founder, Zepto, said, “We are proud to partner with the Ministry of Labour & Employment to integrate with the NCS portal. This collaboration is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and skilled workforce for the new-age economy. By connecting with NCS, we aim to provide thousands of gig and full-time opportunities, helping to empower India’s youth and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.”

The MoU between the Ministry of Labour & Employment and Zepto aims to link platform economy jobs with the government’s employment and skilling programs.

Zepto will post 10,000 jobs, providing structured opportunities for youth, women, and first-time job seekers. The partnership also connects gig workers to e-Shram registration, social security, and upskilling opportunities.

This move supports the Ministry’s mission to bring gig and quick-commerce roles into the formal employment ecosystem, offering tech-driven, dignified livelihoods. Over the past year, similar MoUs with Amazon, Swiggy, rapido, and Quikr Jobs have added nearly five lakh vacancies to the NCS portal.
