Wipro Acquires HARMAN’s Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) Business Unit for $375M

The deal will boost Wipro’s engineering R&D services. Over 5,600 Harman employees across the Americas, Europe, and Asia will join Wipro, the company said.

Wipro Acquires HARMAN’s Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) Business Unit for $375M

India's leading technology company Wipro will buy Harman’s digital transformation solutions unit, a Samsung subsidiary, for $375 million. 

The deal will boost Wipro’s engineering R&D services. Over 5,600 Harman employees across the Americas, Europe, and Asia will join Wipro, the company said.

The deal is expected to close by December 31, 2025. In 2024, this business unit generated $314 million in revenue, with 85% from services and the remaining from products.

Wipro CEO Srini Pallia said, “Their specialised engineering expertise, combined with Wipro’s consulting-led, AI-powered capabilities, will significantly enhance the value we deliver to clients. DTS’ strong presence in high-growth sectors and strategic markets complements our global footprint and strengthens our position as a trusted transformation partner.”

Under the acquisition, Wipro will sign a multi-year strategic agreement with Harman and Samsung, strengthening their partnership and opening new opportunities for joint growth and transformation.

Harman Chief Strategy Officer Carolin Reichert said, “This transaction allows Harman to sharpen its focus on our core strengths in automotive electronics and audio innovation, where we see significant opportunity ahead.”

Wipro said the DTS unit adds strong capabilities in digital engineering and ER&D, with expertise in domain-focused design, connected products, and software platforms.

Srikumar Rao, Managing Partner and Global Head of Engineering at Wipro, said, “This move strengthens our software-defined, platform-centric approach, and empowers us to deliver larger, more complex transformation programs across high-growth sectors including hi-tech, consumer, industrial, healthcare, and aerospace.”
