WhatsApp's Innovative Bharat Yatra to Train Small Businesses in Digital Growth

WhatsApp has launched the WhatsApp Bharat Yatra, an innovative initiative designed to offer hands-on, in-person training to small businesses across India. 

This mobile bus tour aims to help small businesses harness the power of WhatsApp for business growth and digital transformation. 

The journey began in Delhi-NCR, where the bus will visit busy markets such as Laxmi Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Nehru Place, and Safdarjung Enclave, along with key hubs in Gurgaon and Noida, including Sapphire Mall and Atta Market. Following Delhi-NCR, the bus will travel to cities like Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Indore, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik, and Mysore.

The initiative focuses on providing small and medium businesses (SMBs) with personalized, interactive training to improve their digital presence. Entrepreneurs will receive expert guidance on creating a Business Profile, setting up a catalog and running effective ad campaigns that drive engagement. The goal is to help businesses better connect with customers, close sales, and enhance overall operations.

Ravi Garg, Director of Business Messaging at Meta in India, emphasized that small businesses are crucial to India's economy, and the WhatsApp Bharat Yatra aims to help them unlock their full potential by equipping them with digital tools to succeed in the digital era. 

The program follows WhatsApp’s recent updates, including Meta Verified for building credibility and tools to send personalized customer messages more efficiently. Additionally WhatsApp is testing Meta AI to help businesses engage with customers more effectively.

The WhatsApp Bharat Yatra is part of WhatsApp’s ongoing commitment to supporting India’s small businesses and fostering digital growth following other initiatives such as WhatsApp Se Vyapaar and Digishaastra.
