UPL and CH4 Global have partnered to distribute a seaweed-based feed supplement, Methane Tamer, in five major markets, including India. This product can reduce cattle methane emissions by up to 90%.
The multi-year agreement targets India, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, which together host over 40% of the global cattle population. Methane Tamer, made from Asparagopsis seaweed, will be distributed through UPL's existing networks and feed formulations.
UPL Chairman and Group CEO Jai Shroff said. "Methane is almost thirty times as harmful for global warming than CO2,"
The livestock industry is under growing pressure to reduce its environmental impact, as methane from cattle digestion is the largest human-driven source of methane emissions worldwide.
CH4 Global CEO Steve Meller said the partnership with UPL will speed up the global use of methane-reducing solutions in livestock farming.

Collabration Benifit
The collaboration will develop tailored business models for each market, incorporating Methane Tamer into UPL's existing feed products and using its strong market presence and customer connections.
