TCS Names Aarthi Subramanian As Executive Director-President & COO

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s biggest IT services company, has named Aarthi Subramanian as its executive director-president and chief operating officer.

Her five-year term will begin on May 1, 2025 and end on April 30, 2030. In this role she will lead TCS’s global business operations with a focus on improving efficiency and pushing digital transformation.

With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry and a strong track record in leadership roles at TCS, Subramanian’s appointment shows the company’s aim to strengthen its leadership for the future.

This move supports TCS’s broader plan to boost operations and offer innovative tech solutions to clients worldwide.

“This is to inform you that, based on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee, the board of directors has approved today the appointment of Aarthi Subramanian as executive director – president and chief operating officer of the company for a term of five years,” said a filing from the company on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Subramanian is currently the Group Chief Digital Officer at Tata Sons, the main investment holding company and promoter of Tata Group companies.

TCS has also appointed Mangesh Sathe as its Chief Strategy Officer, showing its commitment to aligning with the changing global business environment.

These leadership changes are part of TCS’s focus on future planning and long-term growth, aiming to lead the next phase of innovation in India’s IT industry.
