Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), a design, engineering and project management consultancy, has acquired CDI Engineering Solutions (CDI), a 75-year-old US-based company, to enter the North American market. The deal amount has not been disclosed.
Purpose Of This Acquisition
Through this acquisition TCE marks a major move in building a global business, focusing on delivering efficient, innovative, and sustainable projects for customers worldwide.
The acquisition combines the strengths of TCE and CDI to offer value-driven solutions. TCE’s global delivery platform will now include CDI’s eight engineering centers in the US, enabling seamless, scalable solutions while promoting innovation and inclusivity.

TCE, established in 1962 as Tata Ebasco through a joint venture between Tata Group and US-based Ebasco Services Inc to provide engineering design solutions for Tata Power, is now a fully-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, one of India’s largest private conglomerates.
