Sourav Ganguly joins Tiigers of Kolkata as co-owner & brand ambassador

Former India cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly has joined Tiigers of Kolkata, a Kolkata-based team in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), as co-owner and brand ambassador, ahead of the league’s third season.

The move brings one of Indian cricket’s biggest names into the ISPL, a tennis ball T10 league focused on organized street cricket and discovering grassroots talent. This move is seen as a strong vote of confidence in the league’s longterm plans as it aims to grow both its sporting and business presence in a competitive cricket landscape.

Under the agreement, Ganguly will assume a dual role encompassing ownership, brand leadership and mentorship. As coowner, he joins the franchise’s leadership group and will contribute to long-term planning and strategic decision-making. In his capacity as brand ambassador and mentor, Ganguly will play an active role in shaping the team’s cricketing philosophy, talent development pathways, and overall brand positioning.

Tiigers of Kolkata also have Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan as co-owners since the league began. The ISPL has drawn strong backing as well, with Sachin Tendulkar involved as an investor, brand ambassador and core committee member, highlighting the league’s growing credibility.
