Saurabh Dwivedi Quits Lallantop After 12 Years; Kuldeep Mishra To Lead Editorial

Journalist Saurabh Dwivedi, the founding editor of Lallantop and India Today Hindi, has left India Today Group Digital after 12 years.

After his exit, Kuldeep Mishra will head Lallantop’s editorial team, while Rajat Sain will lead the production team. Both are founding members of Lallantop.

"Thank you, @TheLallantop for identity, lessons, and courage.And best wishes for the future. My association here comes to an end. I will introspect, take a leisure break and then talk about the resolve to move forward. You all have also taught me many things. Thank you," Dwivedi said in a post on X.

Saurabh has been a homegrown talent at India Today Group and was developed within Mediaplex. He joined the organisation as Features Editor at aajtak and, along with Kamlesh, helped build Lallantop into a leading platform for young audiences in India’s heartland.

“I am immensely proud of Saurabh and the body of work he has created. Over time, we have discussed his desire to apply his creative energies to other mediums that are currently outside the India Today Group portfolio,” Purie wrote.

Kuldeep Mishra will now take full charge of Lallantop’s editorial operations, while Rajat Sain will head the production team. Both are part of Lallantop’s founding team. The transition reflects a strong homegrown leadership shift. Kuldeep regularly anchors the LT Show and Netanagari, and Rajat has led Lallantop through several phases of production growth. While Saurabh’s absence will be felt, the leadership is optimistic about the road ahead.
