Red Health Acquires Majority Stake In TACT Academy

Ambulance service provider Red Health, formerly known as StanPlus, has acquired a majority stake in Chennai-based TACT Academy for Clinical Training. 

According to RED Health, this acquisition aims to create a global center of excellence in allied healthcare, focusing on emergency medical services and pre-hospital care, while developing a workforce to tackle healthcare challenges in india and around the world.

Purpose of this partnership

The collaboration plans to integrate digital learning platforms to make high-quality healthcare training accessible in both urban and rural areas. RED TACT also intends to work with universities to create academic programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application. 

The focus is on safety, research and skill development, aiming to produce job-ready professionals who can bridge the gap between education and the healthcare industry.

Red Health’s larger goal is to create a 911-like emergency response system in India, improving response times and raising patient care standards. Additionally, RED.Health plans to encourage innovation and research in clinical training by forming a Medical Advisory Board with leaders from RED.Health, RED TACT and other respected healthcare professionals.

Chennai-based TACT Academy was founded in 2007 by  N. Ramakrishnan, it is India’s first simulation-based healthcare training center. After merging with Red Health, the academy will continue offering its current curriculum, which focuses on practical, hands-on learning for healthcare professionals.

The academy also plans to introduce new programs, such as a finishing school for healthcare graduates, bridge courses for new MBBS graduates, NABH training packages, and short-term skill-based certifications.
