Ravindra Narayan Steps Down as PTC Network President & MD, to Launch Global Punjabi Media Venture

Veteran Punjabi media leader Ravindra Narayan has stepped down from his role as President and Managing Director of PTC Network after nearly two decades of leadership. He is now set to embark on a new journey, launching a global media conglomerate aimed at transforming how Punjabi content is created, distributed, and consumed worldwide.

In a reflective LinkedIn post, Narayan shared his experiences of building PTC into a global platform for Punjabi stories and culture.

“When I began this journey – post Punjabi World and ETC Punjabi – PTC wasn’t just a channel—it was a belief. A belief that Punjabi stories, voices, and faces deserved not just a place on the screen, but a place in every home across the world. We weren’t just building a media network—we were building a mirror for the soul of Punjab,” Narayan wrote.

He recalled how, despite skepticism around the idea of a Punjabi channel going global or culturally rooted content resonating with wider audiences, PTC grew into a global cultural bridge. He credited his team’s dedication for enabling the network to connect deeply with viewers—whether it was grandmothers singing Gurbani at dawn or children in Canada learning Punjabi through PTC’s shows.

As he steps into his new venture, Narayan said his focus will be on elevating Punjabi media on the world stage, ensuring Punjabi voices and narratives find greater visibility and reach in the global content ecosystem.
