PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist and one of India’s top athletes, has teamed up with sports brand PUMA India in a multi-year partnership as their brand ambassador.
Through this partnership, it will boost Puma's focus on sports and help it tap into India’s growing sports market. Puma hopes to expand its presence in performance-wear and double its current growth rate by entering badminton.
The partnership between Puma and Sindhu will be launched at the India Open 2025 in New Delhi, marking the beginning of a strong collaboration that will shape the future of badminton in India.
The brand name PUMA was recently changed to ‘PVMA,’ sparking a lot of buzz online.
The surprise rebranding confused many people, leading them to wonder if it was a permanent change or just a temporary marketing move. Some guessed it could be part of a new campaign with Virat Kohli, while others thought it might be related to PV Sindhu — which has now been confirmed.
