PB Healthcare Services, the healthcare arm of PB Fintech, has acquired the digital health startup Fitterfly to move beyond hospitals and strengthen its focus on preventive care.

The company has also added senior healthcare leaders to its management team as it builds a technology-driven healthcare network that connects hospitals, doctors, insurers, and patients.

The platform uses data-driven tools for nutrition, fitness, and behavior coaching. With this acquisition, PB Health can combine Fitterfly’s digital health solutions with its network of physical hospitals. The company also said it is adding artificial intelligence to its systems for voice-to-text medical notes, smart clinical reports, and AI-powered doctor support.

Fitterfly has raised around ₹158 crore ($18.9 million) from investors such as Fireside Ventures, Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund, 9Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, 4point0 Health Ventures, and 100Unicorns. It was last valued at about $41.7 million.

“Our vision is to create a truly integrated healthcare ecosystem where patients experience frictionless, high-quality care,” said Yashish Dahiya, Chairman and Group CEO of PB Fintech. “We are building a tech-first healthcare platform that improves outcomes, enhances trust, and redefines the care journey for millions across India.”

“Chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity affect up to 40 per cent of Indian adults,” said Arbinder Singal, Co-founder and CEO of Fitterfly. “Our platform, with its proven outcomes and intellectual property, will add significant value to PB Health’s integrated ecosystem.”

With PB Health acquiring Fitterfly, Amazon now indirectly becomes part of a larger, connected healthcare network that brings together hospitals, insurers, and preventive health services.

PB Health is also building a 1,200-bed hospital network in Delhi NCR, which includes a 270-bed hospital in Noida and two more facilities coming up in Gurgaon. The company said this expansion aims to build trust between hospitals and insurers while promoting cashless, connected, and prevention-focused healthcare.

In addition, PB Health is using artificial intelligence across its systems to improve efficiency and quality of care. Its AI tools include voice-to-text documentation, smart clinical reports and decision-support systems for doctors.
