Nitro Commerce acquires Zodiac Labs AI to expand quick commerce AI

Enterprise tech startup Nitro Commerce has acquired Gurugram-based AI startup Zodiac Labs AI to strengthen its capabilities in quick commerce analytics.

The acquisition comes soon after Nitro Commerce raised fresh funding to expand its operations and product offerings.

The deal amount has not been disclosed. Founder Umair Mohammed said the acquisition fits the company’s plan to build solutions specifically for brands in the quick commerce ecosystem.

“Speed is the new currency of Indian commerce. While brands struggle with the cost of scaling, Zodiac by Nitro provides them with an AI copilot that makes exponential growth possible,” said Umair Mohammed, founder and chief executive of Nitro Commerce. “It has autonomous AI agents that do 90 percent of the heavy lifting, allowing brands to stay ahead in the quick commerce race.”

According to Nikhil Garg, Co-founder and CTO at Zodiac Labs AI, the complexity of quick commerce operations often overwhelms brand teams. “Inventory, ad spends, discounts and competitor pricing change every minute across hundreds of dark stores. Brands are dealing with thousands of SKUs across multiple warehouses, which leads to analysis paralysis,” he said. “By joining forces with Nitro Commerce, we can scale our agentic AI model to move beyond dashboards and deliver real outcomes.”

Founded by Nikhil Garg, Zodiac Labs AI offers AI-powered analytics tools that help brands track and improve their performance on quick commerce platforms. Its solutions include real-time dashboards to monitor SKUs, a smart purchase order engine for procurement decisions, and tools to help businesses allocate budgets across different quick commerce channels.

The platform works with major quick commerce services like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart, helping brands analyze sales trends and optimize their presence on these fast-delivery platforms.

Founded in 2023, Nitro Commerce provides AI-driven marketing and customer engagement solutions, mainly for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands. Its technology helps companies track campaign performance, manage customer data and boost revenue using AI tools.

With the acquisition of Zodiac Labs AI, Nitro Commerce plans to expand beyond D2C and support brands across ecommerce, retail and quick commerce. The integration will also introduce advanced “agentic AI” capabilities that not only analyze data but actively recommend actions, such as adjusting ad spend or resolving purchase order issues in real time.

Zodiac Labs founder Nikhil Garg has joined Nitro Commerce. He said the partnership will evolve the AI models from providing insights to actively helping marketers make faster operational decisions.

Nitro Commerce currently works with over 2,500 brands, including Rare Rabbit, Dot & Key, pepperfry, ClayCo, Kapiva, Blue Tokai, VIP Industries, and Perfora, helping them optimize digital marketing and customer acquisition.

The acquisition also reflects the growing quick commerce trend in India. As more brands expand to 15–30 minute delivery platforms, there is rising demand for analytics tools to manage inventory, pricing and marketing performance across these fast moving channels.
