His association with JSW Sports began in 2016 when he was selected through the JSW Sports Excellence Program (SEP). This partnership went on to become one of the most successful athlete–management collaborations in Indian sports, lasting a decade and marked by consistent success at the global level.

Fondly known as “Man with the Golden Arm,” Neeraj Chopra made history by becoming the first indian to win an olympic gold medal in track and field at the Tokyo 2020 Games. He later won a world championship gold in 2023 and a silver medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024 along with several podium finishes at international events.

With the launch of Vel Sports, Neeraj is stepping into athlete management while still at the peak of his sporting career, a rare and forward-thinking move. JSW Sports has supported this transition, highlighting the mutual respect and strong relationship that has defined their long partnership.

“Working with Neeraj has been an incredible experience for all of us at JSW Sports. His success story reflects our shared philosophy of excellence and purpose. We’re immensely proud of what we’ve achieved together and wish him continued success in all his future pursuits,” said Divyanshu Singh, CEO, JSW Sports.

As they part ways, both sides highlighted their shared legacy of trust, belief and success. While Neeraj Chopra moves into entrepreneurship with Vel Sports, JSW Sports will continue its work of identifying and supporting india’s emerging sports talent, carrying forward a partnership that has made a lasting impact on Indian sport.
