NABARD Introduces RuralTech CoLab to Support Tech-Driven Rural Startups

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has launched RuralTech CoLab, a simple online platform to connect rural tech startups. 

It helps fintech, agritech and digital partners work together to create innovative, scalable and inclusive solutions for rural areas.

“These solutions will exclusively be tailored for agriculture, rural development, rural financial services,” a NABARD spokesperson said.

“Through a structured and transparent empanelment and onboarding process, RuralTech CoLab would help the ecosystem partners to work with NABARD,” he said.

“NABARD is prepared to lead from the front through digital transformation, support for rural enterprises, and mission-led programmes that unlock grassroots potential. Our focus now is to scale high-impact solutions, nurture entrepreneurial ecosystems, and ensure sustainability remains at the heart of development,” Shaji K V, Chairman, NABARD, said.

The RuralTech CoLab portal will connect users to NABARD’s grassroots network, including self-help groups, farmer producer organizations, NGOs, cooperative banks, and rural institutions.

The portal was launched as part of NABARD’s 44th Foundation Day celebrations in Chennai on Saturday, along with other initiatives.

NABARD also introduced a WhatsApp channel to share market advisories and information about farmer-producer organizations (FPOs).
