Mukesh Ambani’s Jio Partners With Polygon Labs To Offer Web3 Services

Jio Platforms, an Indian mobile network owned by Mukesh Ambani, Asia's richest person, has partnered with Polygon Labs to add Web3 and blockchain features to some of its current services.

The developer team of Polygon Protocol will work with Jio to create Web3 services using its blockchain solutions for more than 450 million Jio customers.

The announcement comes nearly two years after Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance, showed interest in exploring blockchain solutions.

Kiran Thomas, CEO of JPL, said, "Joining forces with Polygon Labs marks a significant milestone in Jio's journey towards digital excellence. We are excited to explore the boundless possibilities of Web3 and bring unparalleled digital experiences to our users.”

Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal said,  "The partnership with Reliance Jio represents a significant step forward for Web3 adoption in India and a signal for the rest of the world to follow suit. Polygon Labs will support Jio and work closely to integrate blockchain across its various applications to unlock the potential of blockchain-based solutions.”
