Modi's Policies Make Defense Startups a Hotspot for Investors

India's push for self-reliance in defense, led by the Modi government has greatly increased interest and investment in defense startups. 

Policies like 'Make in India' have created a welcoming environment for private companies to get involved in defense manufacturing and innovation.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh recently spoke about India's progress in becoming self-sufficient in defense. He emphasized the need for modern technologies, such as AI and quantum computing, to stay ahead in warfare.

Thanks to these efforts, India's defense exports have soared by 700 percent in just two years growing from $213 million in FY 2016–17 to $1.5 billion in FY 2018–19. This shows the increasing capabilities and global reach of Indian defense startups.

The government's focus on innovation and indigenization has attracted investors fueling growth in startups creating advanced technologies for defense. These companies are strengthening India's defense and boosting its export potential.
