Ride-hailing unicorn rapido has partnered with MakeMyTrip-owned Goibibo, ixigo-owned ConfirmTkt, and redBus to enable train, flight, bus, and hotel bookings directly through its app.

With these new features, Rapido aims to become a one stop travel app, offers a seamless experience to its 5 crore active users across 400+ cities. The company plans to attract the next 10 crore digital travel users by combining daily mobility and travel bookings in a single platform.

Goibibo offers hotel and flight bookings, redBus handles online inter-city bus ticketing, and ConfirmTkt is an authorized B2C platform for train ticket bookings.

Through this partnership, Goibibo, ConfirmTkt, and redBus aim to expand their user base by tapping into Rapido’s reach, while Rapido takes another step in diversifying its offerings.

Originally a bike-taxi platform for short urban trips, Rapido has evolved into a full mobility app, adding auto and cab services over time. Earlier this year, it also entered food delivery with the launch of Ownly, taking on players like Zomato and Swiggy.

“Rapido, with its grassroots presence, is positioned to onboard the next 100 million digital travel users by bundling daily mobility and travel booking in one app,” the company said, noting that it currently has 50 million monthly active users.

Aravind Sanka, Rapido’s co-founder, said the partnership provides a major opportunity to reach Tier-II and Tier-III cities, where adoption of travel and digital services is growing rapidly.

“What excites us most is the opportunity to unlock travel for Bharat in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, where inclusivity, affordability, and trust matter most. From the first mile to the last mile, Rapido is shaping the future of mobility and travel as a true one-stop partner for every Indian,” Sanka said.

Rajesh Magow, co-founder and CEO of MakeMyTrip, said the partnership will help boost digital travel adoption in smaller markets.

“We are delighted to partner with Rapido as part of our continued effort to expand our reach to travellers across Bharat. This partnership will enable more users in Tier-II and Tier-III markets to book flights, hotels, and buses, further deepening the adoption of digital travel across the country,” Magow said.

The new feature will roll out on Rapido’s Android and iOS apps in the coming weeks, allowing users to search and book tickets and accommodations through a single interface using Goibibo, ConfirmTkt and redBus inventory and APIs.

With this expansion, Rapido joins other Indian startups integrating multimodal transport and travel services, leveraging mobility users to cross-sell and capture a larger share of India’s digital consumption market.
