Meta Platforms has appointed Arun Srinivas as the new Managing Director and Head for Meta India. Since 2022, he has led the company’s ads business in India, focusing on strategy and revenue growth across Meta’s platforms.
In his new role, he will continue to drive Meta’s growth in one of its largest markets and remain part of the India leadership team.

Before joining Meta, Arun Srinivas held leadership roles at top companies. He served as COO and Global CMO at ola, leaving in 2020 after about a year. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Unilever and also worked at Westbridge Capital, where he led investments in the consumer sector. His career spans across operations, marketing, and investment, giving him deep insights into both business and consumer markets.
“India continues to be at the forefront of economic growth and innovation. Arun’s proven track record makes him the ideal leader to take Meta’s investments in the country to the next level,” said Devanathan, confirming he will continue to report to her.
"Arun will spearhead Meta’s India strategy and help us build strong local partnerships to drive innovation and impact," the company said in its statement.
Arun Srinivas’s appointment comes at a crucial time as Meta faces regulatory challenges in India. In november the Competition Commission of India (CCI) fined Meta for anti-competitive practices and imposed a five-year restriction on WhatsApp from sharing user data with other Meta apps for advertising.
His leadership will be key in navigating these regulatory pressures while driving business growth in one of Meta’s most important markets.
