Mercedes-Benz Names Emrah Ozer As India CFO

German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz announced that Emrah Ozer is the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Indian operations, effective January 1, 2025, as part of changes in its finance and controlling team.

Ozer, currently a Board Member and Head of Finance & Controlling at Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey, will join the Board of Mercedes-Benz India as Executive Director soon.

He replaces Evren Cakabey, who has become the Executive Director and CFO of Mercedes-Benz G GmbH in Austria, starting January 1, 2025, the company said.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO at Mercedes-Benz India, said, The company will benefit from his rich expertise in managing International Finance, business modelling and investor relations. We are confident that Emrah, with his diverse international financial experience and proven track record, will continue Mercedes-Benz's growth momentum in India."

About Emrah Ozer

Emrah Ozer has successfully worked with key stakeholders like banks, governments, and investors at Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Turkey. He has held leadership roles in Finance & Controlling for Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Benz AG, and Smart, handling responsibilities for India and the NAFTA region.

Ozer began his career in 2002 in the Finance and Controlling department at Smart GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany. In 2008, he became Head of Project Controlling for India and NAFTA, the statement said.
