The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) have secured ₹500 crore in venture capital commitments for Indian AI startups at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held in New Delhi.
The announcement came during the Impact AI PitchFest, where 31 AI-focused startups presented their products to investors.

Sixteen IVCA member funds collectively committed ₹500 crore to back promising AI startups. The participating investors included 3one4 Capital, 888VC, Accel, Ankur Capital, Antler, Boundless Ventures, Capital A, Chiratae Ventures, Dallas Venture Capital, Inflection Point Ventures, Mount Growth Fund, Peak XV Partners, Piper Serica, Prosus, Seafund, and SenseAI Ventures.
The funds are intended to support AI solutions that can be deployed in enterprises and sectors with public impact.
At the Summit, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology officials highlighted that India’s AI strategy emphasizes real-world applications and public benefit. Leaders from Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association said the ₹500 crore commitment shows strong investor confidence in Indian AI founders and reflects closer alignment between government policy and private capital.
