LTIMindtree Rolls Out Integrated Village Development Initiative in West Bengal’s Balarampur Block

LTIMindtree, [NSE: LTIM, BSE: 540005], a global technology consulting and digital solutions company, has collaborated with a renowned Civil Society organization in India to implement the Integrated Village Development Programme (IVDP) model across 16 aspirational blocks identified by Niti Aayog. Balarampur stands out due to its tribal population and unique developmental needs.

Through IVDP, LTIMindtree aims to drive sustainable development and uplift local communities as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

This comprehensive program focuses on improving residents' education, health, and livelihood opportunities. As part of the initiative, LTIMindtree renovated Anganwadi Centres established a STEM lab in two high schools, and set up free coaching centers for board exam students. The projects were inaugurated by Paneesh Rao, LTIMindtree’s Chief Sustainability Officer, who also unveiled a solar-operated signal system to reduce accidents in the area.

Key highlights of the IVDP in Balarampur

• Anganwadi Revamp: Five centers transformed into model facilities. Its offering services to mothers and children with educational tools, infographics, and play equipment.
• School Upgrades: Renovations in five schools to enhance infrastructure, aiming to develop them into model institutions.
• Coaching Support: Two free coaching centers at BaraUrma and Chanditala High Schools to help students achieve 60%+ in board exams.
• Irrigation Boost: Creation of 22,500 cubic meters of farm pond storage to irrigate 450 acres, enhancing agricultural productivity.
