Kissht adds Policybazaar co-founder, Former AB Fashion CEO to board ahead of IPO

Digital lending platform Kissht has added two new independent directors to its board—Alok Bansal, Co-founder of Policybazaar, and Sangeeta Pendurkar, former CEO of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. 

This move comes as Kissht gears up for its upcoming IPO which will include both new shares and shares being sold by existing stakeholders, as per RoC filings.

The board expansion reflects its efforts to strengthen corporate governance and prepare for its shift from a private startup to a publicly listed company.

About Kissht 

Founded in 2015 by Ranvir Singh and Krishnan Vishwanathan, Mumbai-based Kissht offers both secured and unsecured loans through three main segments: consumer loans, purchase financing through partners, and credit for MSMEs. 

The company recently expanded into secured lending with a digital Loan Against Property (LAP) offering.

Kissht serves over 10 million customers and reported assets under management of more than Rs 4,200 crore ($502 million) for the fiscal year ending March 2025. Its total income for FY24 was around Rs,700 crore.

In 2022, Kissht raised $80 million in a funding round led by Vertex Growth and Brunei Investment Agency, valuing it at about $344 million. On June 17, shareholders approved converting Kissht from a private limited to a public limited company—an important step toward its IPO.
