Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) exited 14 startups in 2024, achieving a 36% internal rate of return (IRR).
Despite a tough funding environment, IPV said its exits show its focus on backing scalable startups. Over the past five years, it has exited 47 startups from a portfolio of 200+.
Key exits include IBM’s acquisition of Prescinto AI, delivering a 28% IRR and 2.17X return and CrashPlan’s purchase of Parablu, yielding a 30% IRR and 2.2X return in three years.
Other notable exits included Aksum (52% IRR, 1.55X return), Conscious Chemist (54% IRR, 1.45X return) and Qubehealth (53% IRR, 4.06X return).

“Despite market uncertainties, our startups continue to attract interest from top-tier VCs and strategic investors. By focusing on high-growth potential companies and fostering key relationships, we aim to ensure both capital appreciation and early liquidity for investors,” said, Ankur Mittal, Co-founder of IPV.
“Investors often face liquidity challenges in startup investing. Nine out of ten startups fail within the first two years, while the successful ones take five years or more to generate returns. We consciously work toward creating exit opportunities at different funding stages,” Mittal added.
IPV invests through primary and secondary deals, aiming for 30-40% IRRs and 3-4X returns. It also manages Physis Capital, a $50M VC fund for scaling startups.
Earlier in 2024, IPV reported 14 exits from 2023, delivering a 61% IRR to investors.
