US President Donald Trump has appointed Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-American entrepreneur and venture capitalist, as the senior White House policy advisor on artificial intelligence (AI).
Trump stated that Krishnan would help shape and coordinate AI policy throughout the government. Krishnan's role includes working with the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Trump also highlighted Krishnan's career, especially his achievements as a founding member of Microsoft's Windows Azure team.

Krishnan posted on X, said , "I'm honored to serve our country and help maintain American leadership in AI. Thank you, Donald Trump, for this opportunity."
About Sriram Krishnan
Krishnan has worked in product design for over 20 years. He started at Microsoft in 2005, then spent about 3 years at Facebook, leading product strategy. He has also worked at Snap and Twitter, leading consumer product teams.
In February 2021, Krishnan became a general partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). By 2023, he was leading the company's London office but left the firm in November 2023.
In 2021, he gained recognition as the host of the podcast ‘The Aarthi and Sriram Show' (formerly ‘The Good Time Show'), which he co-hosts with his wife, Aarthi Ramamurthy.
