Amid growing competition in the quick home services sector, Accel-backed startup Pync has shut down its operations.
Pync’s three cofounders—Harsh Prateek, Mayank Sahu, and Dev Priyam—have now joined rival Snabbit in senior roles across operations and business functions, the latter said in a statement.

“I’m excited to welcome Harsh, Mayank, and Dev to Snabbit as we join forces to build the category of the decade. Their experience in running a lean, tight ship and their deep obsession with this category will add immense strength to our journey,” Snabbit founder Aayush Agarwal said.
Founded in 2023, Pync first started with car-cleaning subscriptions but later shifted to quick home services. The startup raised about $2 million in seed funding last year and operated only in Bengaluru. It served over 25,000 households with more than 1,000 service professionals and was onboarding around 200 new service partners every week while running independently.
Pync’s shutdown comes amid intense competition in the quick home services space, which is mainly dominated by listed player Urban Company, along with Snabbit and Info Edge-backed Pronto.
Rising monthly burn rates have put pressure on startups as they deal with rapid expansion, heavy discounts, seasonal worker movement, and labour law compliance. This has hurt margins, with most players focusing on market share rather than shortterm profits.
Pync’s closure points to early signs of consolidation in this fast-growing segment. The sector follows quick-commerce-like economics, with high fixed costs, low marginal costs, and a growth-at-all-costs approach, which naturally drives consolidation.
Pync’s workforce is expected to give Snabbit an immediate operational advantage in Bengaluru.
Snabbit, which has been aggressively raising funds, secured $30 million in its Series C round led by Bertelsmann India Investments in October. This was its third funding round of the year, taking its total capital raised in earlier rounds to over $24 million.
Founded in 2024 by former Zepto chief of staff Agarwal, Snabbit provides trained and verified domestic help—such as cleaners, cooks, and dishwashers—within 10–15 minutes.
