Home salon provider YesMadam clarifies on layoff issues after email goes viral

After causing a stir on social media by saying it had fired 100 employees for being stressed, noida based YesMadam, a home salon services company featured on Shark Tank India, released a statement on Tuesday. 

They explained that it was part of a social media campaign aimed at raising awareness about "the serious issue of workplace stress.

The company says,"We sincerely apologize for any distress caused by recent social media posts suggesting we dismissed employees for being stressed. We would never take such an inhuman step. Our team is like our family, and their dedication, hard work, and passion are the foundation of all our successes.”

The company also mentioned that it introduced a new "de-stress leave policy," allowing employees to take six paid days off to relax, along with a free spa session at home to support their mental well-being and refresh themselves.

YesMadam said, "In today's connected world, it's hard to balance work and life, stress is common, and productivity often comes before employee well-being... Happy employees create stronger businesses, and we're committed to leading the way in building a culture that supports this idea,"
